Susan: That is a great question about the after-market e-mails from Viator's affiliates regarding destination activities. Perhaps, once again, Viator is a victim of affiliates focusing on low-hanging fruit like hotel booking or car rentals?

Great to read about Viator growing and expanding. They've been a player since the early days focusing on making local services easier to book for travelers despite facing obstacles from both antiquated GDS structure and OTA reluctance to have anything upset their air/hotel/car booking path. With mobile coming on strong there should be even more of a role to play for companies like Viator to sell local services to travelers at any point in their planning and booking process. I'm sure they'll continue to be in the game.

I've always wondered why, with all of Viator's affiliate partners, I've never received an "after-market" targeted email, letting me know of activities that were available during the time that I plan to visit a destination. Better yet, if I booked my hotel and/or air on said affiliate, how nice if I received a discount in the after-sale offer based on my being a "valued customer."
