At the end all the money the Federal Reserve has printed has to go somewhere. Since so much has gone to banks that destroy value, some might as well go to companies like Kayak that add value

Ya, that seems to be the reaction: If Kayak IPO goes sizzle, sizzle, big, big... then the whole tech sector, including travel-tech sector, will benefit. Trickle-down theory. I think a lot of companies, crushed by the recession and hurting, see IPOs as the salvation. I will keep monitoring the SEC website to see if Kayak or anyone else pulls the trigger.

A nice round figure! Would value them at the same level as Twitter who has no revenue. Guess I'll never understand how this all works. I'm sure all the travel tech guys will watch this like hawks to see how they could benefit from a successful Kayak IPO. How about a great home run for the Hafner crew. Talk about being in the sweet spot....
