Australia next for European car hire meta site CarRentals

car hireCarRentals is plotting the next stage of what appears to be a quest for global domination by throwing its affiliate-metasearch car hire model at the Australian marketplace.

The move is as a result of the UK CarRentals site attracting its own Australian audience and management deciding a dedicated portal was necessary.

Comparecarrentals.com.au will launch in Australia this week and will target domestic travellers and those looking to hire vehicles overseas.

The site’s most obvious competitor in the Australian market will be VroomVroomVroom.

CarRentals launched in the UK in 2003 under the ASAP Ventures umbrella.
