Family travel website WeJustGotBack launched a consulting unit to advise DMOs, CVBs, hotels and tour operators on how to market more effectively to parents and kids on websites and in e-mail communications.
Suzanne Rowan Kelleher, the company’s editor-in-chief, says WeJustGotBack launched WeJustGotBack Consulting to formalize ongoing work that the company has already been doing in the U.S., primarily in the Southeast.
A lot of the consulting focuses on making a client’s website and communications more family-friendly, she says.
For example, CVBs might have a family section on their website, but they miss an opportunity to attract more families because  family-oriented information is buried on the website and all of the imagery shows couples or business travelers, Kelleher says.
Many hotels and CVBs, she says, “need help seeing things through a parent viewfinder.”
Kelleher says one resort that WeJustGotBack is working with “is already beloved by families” and WeJustGotBack is helping the resort establish a YouTube presence and suggesting to their guests that they post videos about their family vacation experiences at the property.
Says Kelleher: “It’s hard for any business to dip its toe into social media.”
WeJustGot back has dipped its toe into consulting, and aims to get a foothold.
