Zugu lifts lid on site for Germany

zugu2Cheapflights has launched its second Zugu metasearch site in less than a month – using the ITB exhibition in Berlin to unveil a local version for the German market.

Chairman Hugo Burge announced the launch of Zugu.de during a panel session at the trade show this week.

Cheapflights finally took the covers off its metasearch project three weeks ago with an official launch in the UK.

The move could trigger a round of quick launches for Zugu in markets the Cheapflights brand is already operating in, perhaps following a similar pattern of country domains.

Cheapflights Media is currently active in Australia, USA, Canada, France, Spain and Italy.

Zugu.com, which is registered to Cheapflights in London, currently redirects to Zugu.co.uk. The other sites are all registered with the same London-based broker, with the exception of Zugu.com.au (already showing ownership by Cheapflights) and Zugu.ca (a private individual).
