Kayak updates iPhone service, integrates with GateGuru, unveils another TV ad

Metasearch engine Kayak has released a new version of its Apple iPhone app with a number of additions, but most significantly including a tie-in with GateGuru.

GateGuru is an existing mobile service which provides detailed information about airports such as locations and reviews of restaurants, lounges, shopping areas and other facilities.

The latest edition of the app does not include the much talked about booking mechanism first touted in December 2009 – expected soon, officials say.

Other new features of the Kayak app include multi-city search, hotel search on maps, and support for Kayak sites in Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and India.
