Priceline extended a guarantee on hotel bookings usings its Name Your Own Price service.
If travelers find a lower price up to a day before check-in, then Priceline would match the price and send the traveler a check for $25 and offer a $50 coupon on a Priceline vacation package booking.
The Big Deal Hotel Price Guarantee, which had been beta tested, is good for Name Your Own Price bookings made on or after May 26, 2010, on hotels rated two stars or higher.
Travelers must phone Priceline if they found a lower rate online.
To qualify, users must have a U.S. address.
Priceline also offers a guarantee on published price hotel bookings. In that instance, travelers are eligible to receive a refund of the difference and a $50 Priceline vacation package booking if they find a lower price online within 24 hours of the booking.
