In the pressure cooker atmosphere of the past 24 hours every morsel of information is being scrutinised for signs of how the industry may be reacting.
Step forward Everbread‘s unconventionalĀ chief executive Morten Lund, a man well known to enjoy the gushing limelight of the European tech world but probably also acutely aware of how fast-moving things currently are around his company following Google’s acquisition of ITA Software.
Four months ago nobody had heard of Everbread and its Haystack software, while Lund was in the final throes of removing a bankruptcy label in the courts.
Yesterday, however, Everbread was named by Google alongside the three main GDSs and Expedia – and, of course, ITA – as one of six key players in the technology world between intermediaries and airlines.
Some are sceptical about Everbread’s inclusion along with such hallowed company (a PR effort to head down anti-trust concerns), but nevertheless the business’s swift rise into the mainstream is extraordinary.
So what on earth is Lund referencing here with this message on Twitter today:
An Everbread official declined to comment. Lund, who is also an advisor to TradeShift, has not responded to emails.
NB: With apologies to TechCrunch, obviously.

With the enthusiasm you are showing here – I will take care that you are first to know. And thanx for the kind words.
PS. dont be shy to call me crazy – unconventional is too conventional for me
