Tnooz has a great new initiative to unveil today in a move to give a voice to those coming through the junior ranks of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
We have created the Tnooz Gen-Y Collective, a group of under-30s from every corner of the industry to debate how different travel technology trends are impacting on strategy as well as the opportunities they carry.
In the first phase of the project the team will produce regular and wide-ranging reports on a chosen subject, analysing how it affects their particular part of the industry.
How can RFID help the travel industry? Beyond augmented reality? Where is the innovation coming from? New digital marketing techniques? Helpful gadgets? The list is endless…
Members of the Gen-Y Collective represent areas as diverse as cruise and business travel to GDSs and metasearch. Here is the team:
- Travel management companies β Kim Maier, BCD Travel
- DMO/tourism boards β Joanna Cheok, Tourism New Zealand
- Airlines β Mike Tomlinson, British Airways
- Tour operating β Katie Wait, Thomson Holidays
- Hotels β Sian Martin, Hyatt
- Cruising β Chelsea Mitchell, Holland America Line
- Metasearch engines β James Addison, Skyscanner
- Content and guides β Amy Widdowson, NileGuide
- GDS/travel technology β Sarah Kennedy Ellis, Sabre
- Online travel agencies β Anna Li, Orbitz
- Industry blogger β Graham Robertson, ProjectWander
Biographies and other information about our fantastic new team will be published shortly, as well as theirΒ first report: geo-location technology services.
The project will probably evolve over the coming months, but we also want readers to get involved and put forward topics for debate, helping shape the discussion and advise how the project should develop.
