Coffee break fodder. Plenty of debate around the authenticity of the following video – but, nevertheless, another PR coup for Apple.
Virgin Galactic might have made a few headlines recently with the opening of the first runway to service its “spacecraft” – but it’s a video on YouTube which has captured the imagination of the public at large.
If it’s real, fair play to the project’s creators. If it’s a fake, Apple probably still wins and it’s still a fascinating piece of footage.
But perhaps Steve Jobs is already thinking along the same lines as Richard Branson.

very cool! Probably for real, and not amazed at iPhone at all – it’s logical option with a GPS, GSM module and an platfrom to write a basic app to bring it all together.
Good foam, hand warmer and the electronis will be fine – probably tougher than the camera they fitted. More credit to the guys that designed and built the casing and hats off to them for a cool project!
That is the coolest thing I’ve seen in ages!
Very cool experiment! Looks pretty real, and why fake it? Plus with a name like GeissbĂĽhler the guy must be Swiss-American, and they’re all honest people
Joe BĂĽhler
If its for real !! why if the a hand moving the burst ballon off the camera lense. Must be a fake.
