Yapta seeks to get distribution on track through API

Yapta, the airfare and hotel rate tracking service, released airfare price-tracking APIs in beta.

The hope is that developers at startups, online travel agencies, suppliers and credit card companies will integrate Yapta’s airfare tracking service into their websites and mobile platforms and make enhancements.

Yapta’s airfare-tracking service monitors airfares before and after purchase to identify the lowest fare from a particular airline, with the hope of triggering a refund if the fare drops.

Developers can register here to request a Yapta API key.
