Thai Airways tries YouTube to build A380 buzz [VIDEO]

Such is the apparent fascination that the flying public still has with the Airbus A380 that airlines continue to pull out all the stops to promote services ahead of inaugural flights.

One of the next carriers to take delivery and use the “Super Jumbo” is Thai Airways, expecting to fly the aircraft for the first time in August 2011.

To celebrate the introduction it has produced a lengthy animated walk-through video to showcase the aircraft’s features, and is now plugging it on YouTube.

Although it is unlikely to beat the buzz (and views, hitting almost 1.2 million on YT alone) surrounding the launch of the first aircraft to fly passengers, courtesy of Singapore Airlines, within just a few days the Thai clip has attracted over 15,000 views.

The Thai A380′s haven’t even started fabrication. No units will be delivered for at least a year – not August 2011
