Hotel portal boosts mobile via augmented reality app and touchscreen website

HRS has unveiled a number of mobile updates including the introduction of an augmented reality application as part of its iPhone app.

The portal now allows users to see nearby hotels via the camera display on their devices.

The Hotels Now augmented reality app enables users to search for and view properties with price, distance and reviews information also available.

The iPhone app has also been updated to include predictive destination search, find local hotels via GPS and share properties via social media channels.

HRS has also improved its mobile website adapting the design to make it more suitable for touchscreen technology.

Both mobile app and website services also now offer the ability to save favourites, use booking templates and access a complete booking history.
