3rd Planet unleashes 3D travel experience to the public

3rd Planet, a service offering virtual 3D tours of destinations, goes live this weekend with its first experience A Journey to Everest.

The company, featured on TLabs last month, has worked with the Nepal Tourism Board to create the Everest experience.

3rd Planet aims to work with destination organisations and the wider tourism industry to bring destinations to life via virtual tours with sounds to replicate a genuine experience.

3rd Planet enables travellers to navigate streets, explore buildings and learn about a destination before they go.

The company will open up the technology via its website from Saturday.
