Dismiss for a moment the fact that it’s an ad for mobile handset manufacturer LG, this quite extraordinary use of 3D film and lights in a live setting has enormous potential in travel.
Ponder what a tourism board could achieve (not least in terms of buzz in the video world of the web) if it struck a deal with LG, or similar, to have an installation like the one in Berlin shown below, next to one of its most popular landmarks.
Taj Mahal in Agra, Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, a pyramid in Cairo, the Colosseum in Rome, Big Ben in London……….
Enjoy.

Wow. That is all.
This year we had something like that on the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, one of the most emblematic buildings in Spain.

@manuel – excellent, thx for sharing.
Another example of the great potential of 3D Projection at the opening of the “Scheepvaart Museum” (Maritime Museum) in Amsterdam this year. Awesome!

@cees – aah, nice one, too. Cheers!
In Lithuania it was done in 2009 as part of European Capital of Culture programme. This is Vilnius town hall with 3D projection. It is amazing how technology developed in a couple of years!
