Expedia upgrades Facebook app with wish list

Expedia has updated its Trip Companion application for Facebook to include a wishlist feature as well as both professionally generated content and consumer reviews.

The travel planning app, which was unveiled in beta in March, now includes a Trip Guide function enabling users to compile and save a ‘to do’ list which can be shared on Facebook.

Further enhancements include the ability to add notes or recommendations to a specific location on an interactive map as well as destination content from Frommers, reviews from other travellers via TripAdvisor and local tips and insight via Yelp.

The Trip Companion app also offers hotel recommendations within the chosen location, exchange rates and a five-day weather forecast.
