Kayak rises to overtake Travelocity – Top US travel sites, December 31 2011

A high to end the year with for Kayak, moving into fourth spot in the list of leading travel websites in the US, ahead of Travelocity and just behind Orbitz.

The metasearch engine increased its market share by almost 2% on the previous week, while Travelocity added a mere 0.5% over the same period.

Market leader Expedia gained 1% of its own, Priceline added 0.5%, Orbitz a nominal 0.25% increase.
