Thomson‘s triumphant return to the top of the leader board of the most popular travel sites in the UK was buoyed further last week with further gains to its lead over rival Expedia.

Expedia saw its share of the agency category trimmed by another 1% last week as Thomson added a further 0.75%. The gap between the pair is now almost 2% market share.

Elsewhere, TravelRepublic has overtaken Lastminute.com for the first time to move into fourth position.

Comments

  1. Surely calling “google maps” a “travel search term” isn’t really appropriate to the travel industry?

(If I were pressed to make a distinction, google maps is normally a location based search, not a travel one)
