- Doubles all round at Thistle Hotels and Guoman after seeing a significant uplift in online visits after launching its mobile-optimised websites two weeks ago. Visits to their respective sites have jumped by around 25%, the pair claim, as users play with new tools such as galleries and videos, new search and booking tools, and reservation management.
- Social media monitoring and reputation management for Rixos Hotels after signing a deal with TrustYou this week. The agreement sees the Turkish-themed chain, which has 14 properties in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, use the TrustYou system for access to reviews and social media content 24/7, competitive analysis and the ability to include review data on its property pages.
- Busy folk at Wego recently, with the metasearch engine now opening a dedicated site for travellers in India. The site will be available in 11 languages and will run under general manager Jackson Fernandez. The company says it will be tracking around $17 million a month in booking revenue passed to supplier sites.
- Management changes at RateTiger to oversee a restructuring of its customer support and business development units. Sunaina Jagtiani, currently senior sales manager in the UK, becomes vice president of customer support globally; Cristina Hernandez will be regional sales manager ofor the company largest markets in Europe, Germany and Spain; and Cristina Blaj will be sales manager for the UK and Ireland.
