What is driving the online impulse hotel buyer? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Listen to the likes of Hotel Tonight in the US and Blink Booking in Europe and they will tell you that you the same-day booking via mobile model is becoming a major force.

And with both attracting significant sums of investment over the last 12 months or so, clearly some people there is something in the idea that travellers are happy to either leave it very late to make a hotel booking or are frantically searching for available rooms when missing their ride home.

So what is about (very) late bookings on a mobile ?

Hotel Tonight has captured a heap of stats to demonstrate what is going on, including what devices people are using, why they are booking, what times, and a gender break-down.
