Efforts in recent years to jazz up the tired but compulsory in-flight safety video and turn it into something fun but still attention grabbing have left YouTube littered with some good and some average clips.
Thomson Airways wins the prize for cutest with its clip using children while the likes of Cebu Pacific Air‘s dancing attendants and Air New Zealand‘s All Blacks involvement add a fun element.
But, is it time for something new?
Step forward IFE Services, the in-flight entertainment specialist, which is reaching out to airlines with a competition to win an in-flight-safety video.
The company’s competition page gives us some insight into what it has done for other airlines with the following clip:

must say, actually thought the Ed & Melanie clip released this week was a bit weak compared to previous ANZ efforts (esp the fitness fella).
Think the YT comments (never a benchmark of sensibility, of course!!!) reflected that, too…
