CarTrawler packages up tech into Facebook app

CarTrawler is opening up social media retailing for travel companies via a Facebook application based on its open source technology.

The app gives consumers access to CarTrawler’s 30,000 city and airport car-rental locations across the world.

The Facebook development follows the launch last October of a mobile car rental app for travel partners and a service mapping car-rental results.

The source code for the app is available to download from the company’s website.

I don’t often say this about another car rental company, but good job car trawler. Nice bit of innovation in a sector crying out for new ideas. *hat tip*
