  • Stay.com is providing hotel, restaurant and attractions information combined with expert tips via its new app for iPhone and Android. The Norway-based company enables users to download guides for 116 cities and browse them offline. Any updates are automatically added when the device is connected to wifi.
  • MakeMyTrip is claiming a first for the Indian OTA market with the release of an iPhone application for flight search and booking. The company has also released a version for Android devices as well as an updated HTML 5 mobile website. The mobile apps enable consumers to store there details, make cancellations, receive flight status alerts, share travel plans on social networks and find nearby restaurants via GPS. A Blackberry app was released last year.
  • Aer Lingus is looking to increase its ancillary sales following an extended partnership with Datalex. The airline has signed a five-year agreement to continue to use the Datalex Travel Distribution Platform. The technology player also recently forged deals with SITA and Westjet.
  • HotelREZ has teamed up with Nexus to unveil its REZtoMarket sales platform. The technology enables independent and small chain member hotels to manage online content, the RFP process and marketing campaigns.
