How far London hotels have come in the seven years since winning the Olympics [INFOGRAPHIC]

Following yesterday’s round-up of hotel availability and discounts for London 2012, here’s a snapshot of what has happened to the hotel sector in the Capital in the seven years since winning the bid.

While yesterday’s data was a collection of intelligence gathered from various online accommodation specialists, today’s is more of a sector overview from the number crunchers at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

As per the infographic, both luxury and budget hotel sectors have seen considerable growth in terms of number of rooms while average daily rate and occupancy have also increased.
