Changing of the guard in Canada as TripAdvisor makes way for Booking.com in the list of leading travel websites during July 2012.
The Canadian domestic TripAdvisor site lost over 0.5% market share month-on-month, allowing Priceline-owned Booking.com to move into prime position with a 0.5% increase of its own.
However, TripAdvisor retains its lead once international and France sites are added to its traffic tally.

Your headline is so misleading! TripAdvisor is still dominating in Canada. There is no changing of the guard at all. horrible journalism.
@harry – criticism accepted.
thus the caveat in the piece… TripAdvisor Canada loses top spot, but when adding the other sites it still reigns.
I think in the grand scheme of things “horrible journalism” is a bit harsh.
“TripAdvisor loses top spot” the first four words of the title is a blatant on purpose lie. Knowing the truth yet reporting otherwise definitely qualifies as horrible journalism. You’re right in the grand scheme of things a misleading title in one blog post is not the end of the world, but you guys do good work and should know better.
@harry – point taken.
any reason why you’re commenting anonymously? you have skin in the game possibly?
