Kayak second quarter 2012 results – at-a-glance summary

Kayak released its second quarter results for 2012 today. A quick overview follows:

Top-line Q2 2012:

  • Net revenue – $77 million (up from $57 million y/y).
  • Net income – $7 million (up from $3 million y/y).
  • Adjusted EBITDA – $21 million (up from $11 million y/y).

Top-line H1 2012:

  • Net revenue – $150 million (up from $109 million y/y).
  • Net income – $11 million (up from -$3 million y/y).
  • Adjusted EBITDA – $34 million (up from $19 million y/y).

Operating metrics Q2 2012:

  • Website queries – 247 million (up 199 million y/y).
  • Mobile queries - 57 million (up 29 million y/y).
  • Website RPMs (rev per thou) – $301 (up from $278 y/y).
  • Mobile RPMs (rev per thou) – $46 (up from $33 y/y).

Operating metrics H1 2012:

  • Website queries – 505 million (up from 388 million y/y).
  • Mobile queries - 109 million (up from 55 million y/y).
  • Website RPMs (rev per thou) – $289 (up from $277 y/y).
  • Mobile RPMs (rev per thou) – $40 (up from $31 y/y).
