Yay! Travel infographics finally getting interesting and interactive [err INFOGRAPHIC]

Thank goodness for HTML5, allowing travel sites to spruce up their pages (especially on mobile) for users. And getting the attention a lot more recently is the much-maligned infographic.

UK tour operator Thomson Holidays has a fancy new one which combines content with social media sharing tools and other gadgets, including the ability to play video.

It looks a bit out of place (well, the ability to use the code) posted on the Thomson Blog, but these days travel companies are desperate for other content publishers to take the infographics and use them on their own sites (with all the SEO juice that comes with it – we, incidentally, took it out).

Anyway, ahem, voilà:

The infographic was created by UK agency SiteVisibility.
