Online travel guide My Destination is taking the go big or go home approach with its competition offering six months travel and a $50,000 prize.
Applicants must create a short video about a favourite destination and upload it to the website of the campaign,¬†which is entitled Biggest, Baddest, Bucket List.
The campaign goes across Facebook and Twitter (#MyBBB) to help create momentum in the coming months.
Several travel companies and tourism organisations have gone out to the blogging community in recent years as part of marketing efforts. Arguably the most memorable is Tourism Queenland’s ‘Best Job in the World’¬†campaign in 2009.
The My Destination winner will be announced in early May after a shortlist and voting process has been completed.
My Destination was founded in 2006 and received funding of ¬£1m in late 2011.
