Yesterday, Wikimedia Foundation announced that it will seek declaratory relief in response to legal threats from Internet Brands, the company that has run the collaboratively-edited destination database Wikitravel since 2006.

The community that powers Wikitravel, the user-editable destination database, is abandoning the platform run by for-profit Internet Brands to jump to a new platform that will be hosted by Wikimedia Foundation, which runs Wikipedia.
