Bright eyed and bushy tailed – Springnest goes to London

Back in December last year we launched a competition to give away an exhibition stand at the annual Travel Technology Europe show in London.

The idea was give an up-and-coming travel-related startup the chance to rub shoulders with many of the established technology companies appearing at the show.

Companies had to be two years old or younger, have raised no more than £1 million in capital, and have a working product or service in the marketplace.

Around 75 startups from across the world entered the draw, with Springnest eventually pulled out of a virtual hat and named the lucky winner.

Peter Fabricius travelled up from South Africa to attend the show – his first time visiting the UK capital as co-founder of the company.

It turns out the Springnest stand was situated directly across from the main seminar area, a pretty decent spot given the volume of people hanging around.

Here is Fabricius during one of the event’s quieter moments:

NB2: Runners-up in the competition: Qiito, WeHostels and Lychee.
