British Airways uses Google to showcase why passengers should fly business to NYC

How should an airline persuade customers that they should spend a £2,800 on a return ticket from London to New York?

British Airways claims it is the first airline in the UK to “allow” Google Streetview access to aircraft and facilities, in a bid to promote its business class-only flight from London City Airport to New York JFK.

Complete gimmick, of course, but in some respects it does showcase what the airline is trying to do in a reasonably neat way.

Users can travel through the airport (London’s smallest yet considered one of its most tech-savvy and easy to use) from the check-in desk, duty free area and departure lounge, before walking across the tarmac to board the retrofitted A318 aircraft.
