Datalex unveils new tech partnerships in latest results

Dublin-based Datalex has named Neusoft as its strategic partner in China and is working on deployment of its sixth Chinese customer.

A Chinese tie-up was hinted at in Datalex’ first quarter results in May with Neusoft named in its half year results released this week.

Neusoft has been around since the early 1990s and claims to be the first Chinese software company to be listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The tie-up appears to be a new sector for Neusoft – its About Us page lists “telecom, energy, finance, government, manufacturing, trade logistics, healthcare, education, transportation, mobile Internet, media, environment protection, etc…” as industries which its serves.

Eslewhere, the H1s also confirm that Datalex is working with Apigee on its API First strategy. NASDAQ-listed Apigee will work with it to “simplify the delivery, management and analysis of APIs.” Like Neusoft, there are no obvious travel clients listed on Apigee’s site.

The Neusoft and Apigee tie-ups follow on from its recently announced collaboration with IBM.

Other than the partnerships, highlights from the first six months of the year include an deepening of its relationship with Lufthansa Group and the growth in China. Datalex has recently announced that it will be creating 200 jobs over the next eighteen months.

Headline financials show that its run of double-digit growth continues, with revenues of $24.4 million and an adjusted EBITDA of $4.6 million – 17% and 22% up respectively on the first half of 2015. Its outlook for the year is that adjusted EDITDA will be 15-20% ahead of 2015’s figure which came in at $10.4 million
