Who wins the marketing war between email versus social media? [INFOGRAPHIC]

For all the continued (and hyped?) commentary around social media being a major channel for travel brands to reach customers, do the old school disciplines still hold sway?

As data from the recent Black Friday sales push illustrates (less than 1% of traffic to ecommerce sites), social media may even be struggling a bit as a viable sales tool.
