How to fix travel [VIDEO]

Sounds like a grand endeavour – and also presumes that travel is broken.

But tourism development advisor Doug Lansky had the opportunity to convince an audience at TEXx in Stockholm recently that the concept of travel does, indeed, need a dose of some tender loving care.

His talk draws on some of the work he did through Destination Development Watch (which we featured last year), examining how destination marketing organisations (DMOs) should rethink their strategies and visitor forecasts by crunching the data surrounding tourism in a different way.

This, he believes, will help solve issues around overcrowding, sustainability of destinations and capacity to grow.

    As we state in our book know the seasons. Yes the one of sites are going to get crowded but just as Florida and Las Vegas are doing add more sites. Disney just keeps expanding parks and adding new sites. DMO must have methods to help the supply and demand market. HAPPY Travels
