Sabre Hospitality brings all services under new hotel platform, device responsive tech in pipeline

Sabre Hospitality Solutions is developing a Hotel Enterprise platform designed to bring all services from property management, central reservations, revenue and the RFP process together.

The hotel platform will be provided as a software-as-a-service solution bringing all currently disparate solutions into one place.

A new customer portal is also being developed giving customers a single access point to services. Until now only Synxis customers have been able to access the current customer portal.

Revealing the developments at the 2012 Customer Forum, Sabre Hospitality president Felix Laboy says:

“It will be cloud-based, that’s why we acquired SoftHotel. We want to converge all those services and provide in a single platform through the portal. It will pretty much eliminate the property management system.”

The platform is part of a series of initiatives Sabre Hospitality is working on in 2012 which also includes an innovation website.

The website aims to encourage its 550-strong team around the world to submit ideas on how to improve processes and suggest innovations for hotel customers.

The company has also been working on a device responsive platform enabling hotels which optimises hotel content to whatever device consumers are accessing it from.
