P&G Professional is “the B2B and away from home division of Procter & Gamble” and the survey was carried out with Trivago.

The hotel meta runs a Quality Test survey, in which guests are paid cash and get money off bookings for filling in a more-than-usually detailed customer satisfaction survey.

The pair say that 78% of guests expect “above average” cleanliness for the hotel, and that improving the hotels cleanliness rating can improve its overall star rating which in turn can lead to higher rates.
