Ultimate time-lapse travel video – a trip around the world, viewed from space

Sometimes it is worth just sitting back, taking it all in, and simply marvelling at what technology has done to the world of video.

This series of time-lapse photographs were taken from the International Space Station between August and October 2011 by Ron Garan, Satoshi Furukawa and the crew of expeditions 28 and 29.

The providers of so-called “space tourism” couldn’t have a better clip for their marketing than this… If, indeed, space tourism gets anywhere near this type of experience for their travellers.

Look out for the lightening and aurora borealis. Enjoy.
