THack Berlin 2016
Like to travel? Love to code? Want to help travelers make the most of their mobile devices during their journeys?
Tnooz, the leading source of news and analysis about travel tech, brings together developers and the travel industry to invent mobile applications for the airline passenger and in-destination experiences during the weekend hackathon.
THack Berlin is open to individual developers and teams up to five members who will compete on-location for up to Euro 5,000 in cash and other prizes. Participation by developers is FREE and registration is required.
Tnooz’s global THack series organizes developers from across the world, as well as leading travel and technology companies and their APIs, for a creative competition that seeks solutions to real-world travel challenges.
Earliest date of registration by individuals and team members will be used to determine participation if the event is over-booked. Attendees must bring their admission ticket and a photo ID to enter the event.
NOTE: All hackers must compete on-site. No virtual projects will be accepted.
Networking and team-building begins Friday, March 4, 6 pm to 8 pm. Teams are encouraged to form before the event. Hacking begins Saturday, March 5 after check-in and introductions at 9 am and continues until Sunday, March 6 at noon.
Developer presentations to a panel of expert judges will follow hacking, and THack concludes at 6 pm after prizes are awarded.
THack will provide table-top space, power, wifi and A/V presentation equipment. Developers must bring their own laptops, software tools and special presentation devices (e.g., wearable tech). Food and beverage will be provided.
Sponsoring companies from travel and technology are invited to submit their APIs for developers to use in their THack projects. Sponsors should contact Ella Sopp (EMEA, firstname.lastname@example.org), James Craven (Americas, email@example.com) or Jay Shah (APAC, firstname.lastname@example.org).
This is the team byline for Tnooz.
